Privacy Policy
Effective 6 November 2026. Reef Tally is a reef-aquarium parameter log for Android published by Loadcircle Ltd (England and Wales). This policy describes the whole of our data practices, because there is almost nothing to describe: the app works entirely on your device.
What the app does
Reef Tally keeps your tanks and your water-test readings — temperature, salinity, pH, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium and the rest — on your device. Every reading you type is written locally in the app's own database. The app performs no uploads of your log, ever.
What we collect
- Nothing on our servers. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising networks.
- No personal data leaves your device through the app itself. The only network traffic is between the app and Google Play Billing when you buy Pro.
Data stored on your device
- The log: your tanks (name, stock type, litres), the parameters and target ranges you set, and every reading with its value, unit and timestamp, in the app's private database.
- The Pro flag: whether the one-time purchase is active, held in the app's own preferences and re-checked with Play when you open the app.
- No location, ever: the app does not request the device's location and has no reason to. A reading is typed, never sensed — there is no camera and no sensor access.
Export
Your log leaves your device only when you export it (CSV or JSON) and choose where it goes. Export is free, unlimited, and always will be.
Purchases
Reef Tally Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Play handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Pro opens the trend layer — charts over each parameter's history, analytics across tanks, and range nudges. The whole log and its export stay free: no part of your record is ever behind the purchase.
Children
Reef Tally is intended for adults who keep a reef aquarium and their own water-test log. It is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR you may contact us about any personal data we hold. As described above, we hold none on our side. If you delete the app, the log goes with it — nothing survives on a server, because there is no server.
